Moving and a Banquet

Our other big news (other than Madelyn) is that we are moving to Newton at the end of this week! Eric will continue working as a state trooper, but will now be stationed in Jasper County.

Some of our awesome friends here had a little going away party for us, and these are some pictures from that.

Eric got an award this past week from the Governor's Traffic Safety Bureau. Madelyn and I got to join him for the awards banquet.

I can't figure out how to rotate this picture (I'll work on my technology skills!) but this is a picture of Madelyn and Elias, who is the son of our good friends here. Elias was born three days after Madelyn, and Eric is already trying to make arrangements for them to get married some day!

So I've had some friends encourage me to start a blog, so here we go! I think the biggest reason we've been encouraged to do so, is because we now have a little one to provide updates about!

Madelyn Ann joined us on February 14, 2010 at 11:05 pm. She was 9 days early, and such a great surprise! We are absolutely in love with her and so excited that God has entrusted us with her. We feel so blessed!

Mady is doing well and growing so quickly! She's been such a trooper, already going on several day trips with us as well as a weekend away to my best friend's wedding. She's been great!
