Happy Birthday Madelyn!

Madelyn Ann turned 1 on February 14! It's so hard to believe that a year has passed already! She has brought so much joy and love to our lives. We celebrated with a party on Saturday, February 12. Again, I wish I had taken more pictures of the people who were there! Madelyn got to celebrate with her grandparents, some of her aunts and uncles, and some of her great-grandparents. It was a great afternoon!

This is the morning of her birthday at our house while she's still in her jammies!

She's not sure what to think of her cake.

Ready to go for the cake!

We were trying to get a picture of her in her birthday outfit, but she wasn't cooperating too well! She was very attached to those boxes of raisins that she's holding!

Madelyn Ann,
We feel so blessed to be your parents. You have brought us more love and joy than we ever expected. It has been so amazing to watch you grow up from a little tiny baby to an increasingly independent little girl. You are such a ham! You make us laugh with your funny faces and noises! You are smart and curious, always paying attention to what is going on around you. You are loving and love to snuggle, especially in the morning when you get up. You are so loved by not only us, but by your grandparents, aunts, uncles, great-grandparents, and so many others. We praise God for you and the gift that you are to us! Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Happy New Year and Happy Birthday Eric!

For New Year's and Eric's birthday we celebrated in North Liberty with our good friends the Lindemann's and the Landon's. I wish I would have taken more pictures! We had a great time with lots of chaos! Six adults and 7 kids!

Our sleepy girl New Year's morning. She decided not to really sleep the night before for some reason!

Harms Family Christmas

I'm ridiculously behind here, but I'm going to get caught up!!

Madelyn got a toy chest made by her Opa Harms. It's beautiful and is working great for all the toys she got for Christmas!
